The Three Lions go into this match as the slight-favourite at 8/5 with Betfred while the hosts are 15/8 and a draw is 21/10. The opening Group C match sees the top two sides playing against each other before England's campaign moves on to Ukraine, Malta and North Macedonia.
For Italy, they will want to make a strong case to defend their European title despite failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. They failed to top their group and could not beat North Macedonia in the play-offs who went on to lose to Portugal who qualified for the tournament.
