Billy Gilmour endured a slow start to life in his new surroundings in Italy last year.
However, over the past five weeks, the midfielder has grown in a pivotal part of Napoli's side.
The Scotland international has been given the nod to start Napoli's last four matches, as they defeated Fiorentina and AC Milan, and drew with Inter and Venice. He assisted Romelu Lukaku's winner against Milan last night.
Of his 20 appearances for the Naples club, just 11 have been from the start.
Things are looking up for the 23-year-old now, as he settles into Napoli's midfield alongside his international teammate Scott McTominay.
They trail Inter by three points at the summit of the Serie A league standings.
With eight matches remaining, the Italian media have explained Gilmour's importance to Conte's side.
Rating 6.5 for Corriere dello Sport: "There are several reasons why Conte no longer takes him off. One of these is the assist for Lukaku. An inexhaustible factory of plots, he stretches the team with his pace".
La Gazzetta dello Sport also rated him at 6.5, saying: "How much two men help in construction. He serves Lukaku's goal, distributes but sometimes risks too much, favoring the Rossoneri counterattacks".
He earned a seven for Tuttonapoli, as their description read: "Clear and perfect in the timing of the ball that makes Lukaku happy. He puts intelligence in every play he makes, with dynamism and a sense of position".
