Dawson Devoy feels he will benefit from another season at Bohemians.
The Gypsies star, 20, was heavily linked with MK Dons last month, but a move to the League One promotion hopefuls failed to materialise before the window shut.
That was a considerable boost to Keith Long who has had to rebuild after a string of key players moved on ahead of the new campaign.
Devoy said: “Last year I had a good season and this time I thought it was best to stay with Bohs as I developed so much.
“There are no better coaches in the country, so to stay at Bohs was the right decision for me and I’m looking forward to kicking on again this season.”
And midfield ace Devoy is determined to brush up on aspects of his game after scoring just twice in 33 league appearances in 2021.
He told the club website: “Keith has been at me about getting into the box more, scoring more and hitting the target more.
“I want to add goals and assists and get forward a lot more.”
