Kevin De Bruyne insists it is too early to talk about Manchester City winning the title although backs his team to push on for the trophy. The Belgian netted twice in the 4-1 win over Arsenal, also setting up John Stones’ headed goal for the home side’s second.
The playmaker was in fine form and was given a standing ovation when he was taken off in the dying embers of the game. City now sit just two points behind Arsenal with two games in hand.
The Blues are still on for the treble, currently in the Champions League semi-finals and FA Cup final. However, the hectic schedule is something that De Bruyne thinks is a potential obstacle City need to deal with and he insisted that the title race is far from over.

“It’s too long (to go). We know what people would say whoever won this game but it’s so hard and a lot of things can happen,” he told BT Sport.
“It’s still seven games, that’s a lot of points. I know we’re still got two games in hand but we’re still behind them so people will say we will win the title now.
“But I know this team and we will not give in until it mathematically can be done but our season is hectic, there’s a lot of things going on so now we have to prepare ourselves for Sunday and Fulham.”
Erling Haaland netted his 49th goal of the season in added time after Rob Holding managed to grab a consolation for Arsenal. The Gunners have five matches remaining with Chelsea, Newcastle and Brighton still to play.
City have a possible 11 games to play should they go the distance in the Champions League. If they win all three trophies, they would become the first team to achieve the treble since Manchester United in 1999.
