Diogo Jota admitted his challenge on Tottenham Hotspur's Oliver Skipp was 'not a great tackle' after the forward was shown a yellow card.
Spurs boss Ryan Mason was unhappy with referee Paul Tierney for not showing Jota a red card as he then went on to score a 94th minute winner for Liverpool.
Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah gave the Reds a 3-0 lead inside 15 minutes before Harry Kane and Son Heung-min scored. Richarlison headed in a 93rd minute equaliser before Jota broke Spurs hearts.

Spurs players surrounded Tierney as they saw their team-mate with blood on his head, but the referee opted for a yellow card.
Jota told BBC Sport after the game at Anfield: "It's not a great tackle. I also touched the ball. I also think he gets his head down. It's just brave from him. Unfortunately it's a foot in the face. I saw the ref could see I didn't mean it and it's just football."
Spurs interim boss Mason believes it was the 'clearest' red card he'd ever seen: "Honestly, it's probably the clearest red card you will see on the football pitch. I need an explanation. It endangered the opponent, Skipp needs stitches and Jota has scored the goal when he shouldn't be on the pitch."
