'It's just a mess' Leeds United slammed for chaotic season which leaves club on precipice

You could choose a number of words to sum up Leeds United's season. Frustrating comes to mind, disappointing, abject will be used by those of a sterner disposition, the adjectives can roll off the tongue there are so many which fit. For former Premier League winner turned pundit Chris Sutton, the word is "chaotic".

With Leeds United now overwhelming favourites for relegation and few, if any giving the Whites a chance of surviving their relegation fight, Sutton has hit out at the chaotic nature of the season which has led to Leeds' downfall.

Four different men have been at the helm for the Whites this season, with three permanent managers and a caretaker boss taking charge. It's been an approach which hasn't had the desired affect, with Jesse Marsch's departure not correcting a course which has led to an expected relegation.

Speaking on Radio 5 Live about Leeds and the club's fall over the past 18 months, Sutton questioned the timing of some of the decisions by the board and whether Javi Gracia should have even been replaced at all.

He said; “Well should they have brought Big Sam in earlier? Should they have brought Big Sam in at all? It has just been a mess. The whole season has been so chaotic.”

It will actually be a good thing for Leeds if that chaotic theme is continued on Sunday. A day that meets expectations all round will result in the Whites being relegated, but a chaotic final day could bring drama and a shock finish, which is all supporters can probably hope for right now.
