It's grim up north for celebs on new ITV reality show

Monkey's cousin from the frozen north, Arctic Monkey, has heard how tough things got on ITV1's eagerly-awaited new reality show 71 Degrees North, which starts on Saturday. Dubbed I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Brrrr! and made, ironically given the temperature, by Fever Media, it features celebrities competing to be the first to reach the northern-most point of Europe – latitude 71 degrees. Not only did one of the celebrities, rugby player Gavin Henson, "nearly die" during the eight weeks of filming in Norway in temperatures of -35C, ITV insiders say things got so difficult at times that some of the celebrities had to be air-lifted out. Makes eating a kangaroo's testicle in the jungle look like child's play.
