US rapper Azealia Banks has come out in support of Scottish independence.
In a post on Twitter/X, she said that the UK, Scotland and Ireland — referring to Northern Ireland — were "three completely different cultures".
The American singer was reacting to a message which said "if you had to be from anywhere in the UK, I’d say you’d make a good Glaswegian".
Based on her frequent, and chaotic, social media posts, the Jouker would be minded to agree.
"It sounds glamorous honestly but it’s definitely fair for Scotland to be its own nation, and Ireland too," she wrote.
"I can completely understand why Ireland and Scotland want and deserve independence. It’s a new day."
She added: "It’s like three completely different cultures entirely tbh [to be honest].
"But! The three countries should share municipalities like energy and travel and food because the f*cking Aer Lingus needs help."
She went on to tell followers about an Aer Lingus flight which included some "James and the Giant Peach" looking characters ... but I don't know what that means.
In earlier posts, she also said she had been touring the UK for years but had never been to Wales, and asked how to get there.
One fan also told her there had been lots of Welsh fans at her Bristol and Liverpool shows, to which she replied: "How’d they get to Bristol and Liverpool and not just invite me to Wales for a concert?
"I want to see what this Wales is about."
Perhaps when she does go there she will also support the growing Yes Cymru movement too ...
Now, Banks was just been dropped as the headline act for Milkshake festival over her anti-LGBT+ remarks, so perhaps she is not the best face of an international Scottish independence campaign.
