Paul Scholes lambasted two Manchester United players after yesterday’s 7-0 trouncing at the hands of Liverpool.
Old Trafford legend Scholes took aim at recent loan recruit Wout Weghorst as well as summer signing Lisandro Martinez.
On Weghorst, Scholes told Premier League Productions: “You’re talking about a Manchester United No.10 or a centre-forward...he’s in the team to be defensive.

"Quality wise as well you’ve got to have a certain level of quality to play for Man United…it’s not there”
Scholes went on to criticise Argentinian defender Martinez, in particular his role in Cody Gakpo’s opening goal.
The centre-back ran across the six-yard line in an apparent attempt to block the shot, but blocked goalkeeper David de Gea's view in the process.
Scholes said: "He needs to trust his goalkeeper. This is a top goalkeeper we’re talking about, do not get in his way. If anybody gets in the goalkeeper’s way, it’s criminal."
Liverpool ran out easy winners on the night, with braces from Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah before a final insult from Roberto Firmino to wrap up the rout.
