'It's coming home' - England supporters react to shock Germany World Cup defeat to Japan

Japan caused the latest major shock of the 2022 World Cup as they beat 2014 winners Germany with an excellent comeback win.

Ilkay Gundogan gave Hansi Flick's side the lead with a first half penalty but Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano both found the back of the net in the space of eight second half minutes to hand Japan a memorable World Cup win.

On Tuesday, Argentina also suffered a shock defeat losing to Saudi Arabia and with Germany now defeated in their opening group game in shocking fashion to Japan, many England supporters have suggested the trophy could be there for Gareth Southgate's team, especially after their dominant 6-2 win over Iran.
