Sadio Mane has been sent a congratulatory message by tennis legend Rafael Nadal.
Mane has returned to Liverpool following his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.
The 29-year-old helped his country win the tournament for the first time in their history, scoring the decisive penalty in the shoot-out in the final against Mohamed Salah's Egypt.
Senegal's victory at AFCON coincided with Nadal winning the Australian Open in Melbourne, which saw him claim a record-breaking 21st Grand Slam title.

While away with Senegal at AFCON, Mane sent a video message to Nadal, congratulating the Spaniard for his milestone success in Melbourne.
He said: “I watched [the 2022 Australian Open final]. You were unbelievable. And, hopefully, we are also going to make it tomorrow.”
‘Make it’ referred to Senegal winning the AFCON, which of course they did, and Nadal sent a message back to Mane to congratulate the Liverpool forward.
The big Real Madrid fan expressed his admiration for the striker's achievements, and hoped that the pair could meet soon.
“I want to congratulate you. It’s amazing that you achieved the Africa Cup, I think, for the first time,” said Nadal in a short video.
“I am very happy for you. I wish you all the very best.
“Enjoy this incredible achievement, and I hope one day we will meet. See you soon!”
