It's Always Sunny podcast: London date and how to get tickets

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia follows the lives of a group of delusional narcissists navigating their way around life, with hilarious (and mischievous) consequences.

Due to the immense popularity of the sitcom, a new podcast entitled The Always Sunny Podcast will feature the cast taking us back to the original days and seeing how far (if anywhere) they have come.

Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton, alongside host Megan Ganz, will be heading across the pond for two special shows.

Alongside bringing their acclaimed podcast to London’s Royal Albert Hall, creators of the show and podcast are also set to delight fans in Dublin, Ireland.

What is The Always Sunny Podcast?

The podcast is a recap of the show by creator McElhenney featuring co-stars with special guests including Danny DeVito, Kaitlin Olson, David Hornsby, Mary Elizabeth, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The sitcom premiered on August 4, 2005, and quickly won a host of fans.

The series follows the hilarious exploits of “The Gang”, a group of misfits and somewhat degenerates who all run an Irish pub known as Paddy’s Pub in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The gang spend most of their time hatching a number of elaborate cons against each other, either for personal benefit or simply out of boredom.

Since the dark comedy first hit television screens, it quickly gained attention among fans, officially becoming the longest-running live-action sitcom in the US.

The low-budget show was described by creator McElhenney as “completely different, not something you’re seeing anywhere else” with “characters you’ve never seen before”.

If McElhenney’s name seems familiar it may be because he has been making headlines recently with pal Ryan Reynolds, with his hit show Welcome To Wrexham, where the two Hollywood stars buy and run a Welsh football club.

When is The Always Sunny Podcast?

Live tapings of The Always Sunny Podcast are in the diary for the Royal Albert Hall on April 16.

A matinée and evening performance are scheduled, where the cast will share “stories, laughs, and reflect on 20 years of making the hit series”.

The live tapings in Ireland will take place in Dublin’s 3Arena on April 17, at 6.30pm.

How to get tickets

Pre-sale tickets are on sale this Thursday (February 16) at 10 am, for priority members, at the Royal Albert Hall site.

The general sale will be on Friday, February 17, at 10am. Prices range from £40 to £125.

Tickets for the 3Arena are priced from €56.95.
