It's Almost T-Shirt Time and This Spring We've Made the Decision to Go the Designer Route

It's been a long, long winter. While initially we embraced the colder weather because it gave us an excuse to break out our new coats, scarves (unless they're already attached to coats), hats and gloves. Along with chunky sweaters and fleece-lined leggings. But now, we're so over it. We're longing for the days when we don't have to pile on the layers. When we'll be able to expose our arms without exposing them to the cold. Which is why we're beginning our search for the best designer T-shirts now.

Although we'll have to wait a bit to sport them on their own, they'll soon be in high demand so we're trying to beat the rush. Plus, buying a few reminds us that spring is right around the corner. Just like baseball caps and sweatshirts, practically every fashion house offers T-shirts. Many boast said house's logo, but we're not limiting ourselves to ones that proclaim our devotion. Jacquemus' colorful tee, for instance, gives no obvious indication that it's connected to the trendy label. (Only the fashion faithful might be able to make the connection.) Max Mara's purple embellished number is like one of those 90s computer-generated artworks where you have to unfocus your eyes to get the picture. Speaking of the 90s, Vetements offers us a way to relive our boy band fandom with its Backstreet Boys shirt.

Regarding the ones that do name-drop, there's still sartorial criteria they have to abide by. They obviously have to display the actual brand name. Some are pretty straightforward, several are more on the quirkier side. Like Chloe's banana tee and Givenchy's leopard-print offering that actually features the big cats and not simply their spots. Or Versace's berry cool pick that includes a label-defining safety pin.
