It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover appears to have distanced herself from Blake Lively by deleting all trace of her from her Instagram account.

The actress, who starred in the book's movie adaption, is currently embroiled in an intense legal drama with her It Ends With Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni.

Reports of a feud between them threatened to overshadow the release last summer. Then, in December Lively sued him for alleged sexual harassment, including claims that he would ask probing questions about her sex life, would invite his friends into nude scenes with Lively, and would make jokes about Lively’s dead father.

Shortly after Lively filed her lawsuit, The New York Times published an article based on Lively’s claims alleging that Baldoni orchestrated a smear campaign against her and amplifying the harassment allegations.

In response, Baldoni filed a defamation lawsuit against the New York Times and launched a lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of leveraging their celebrity status to take control of his film and damage his career.

Since then, there has been no end to the twists and turns of the legal case which has gripped imaginations and headlines around the world, including Baldoni launching how own website to tell his side of events.

After Lively’s initial filing, Hoover showed support for her by posting a photo of the two sharing a warm embrace on Instagram, writing: "@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive, and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt." Hoover also added a link to an article detailing the allegations Lively has made against Baldoni.

As the public mud-slinging has intensified however, Hoover deactivated her profile. Now, she is back and has not only deleted that statement, but also wiped all traces of both Lively and Baldoni.

Currently Hoover is still following Lively's Instagram page but does not follow Baldoni on the social media app.

Her page now seems to be focusing on the upcoming release of the big screen adaptation of another one of her books, Verity, starring Ann Hathaway.

The Standard has contacted a representative for Colleen Hoover for comment.
