Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has identified Arsenal's Bukayo Saka as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah - but has warned the club off an £80m price-tag.
The Egyptian is yet to agree terms on a fresh contract and speculation over his future is already intensifying with rumoured interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Reports last week claimed Salah and his representatives had not spoken to the club over a new deal since December following a breakdown in talks. As his contract expires in 2023, the club face losing their star player this summer, in January or on a free transfer at the end of next season.
Enrique insists players like Salah 'should retire' at the club, but says someone like Saka could be an ideal replacement should it come down to it.

"It’s very difficult to adapt to Klopp’s style, Fabinho arrived and didn’t play at first, now he’s the best holding midfielder in the Premier League," he told Genting Casino. "Some players take some time to adapt to Klopp’s style because he’s very demanding. Thiago is still adapting to his style and he’s a world class player.
"So it’s not very easy to find the right players to fit Klopp’s style. That’s why I believe when you have players like Salah, they should retire at the club. It won’t be easy to replace Salah, but there are players who could replace him; Raphinha could be one, I really like Bukayo Saka.
"He’s very young, but maybe he could become a player close to Salah one day. This kind of player could do the job. But if you let Salah go and pay £80million for Saka, plus the salary, it doesn’t make sense to me."
Saka, 19, is a product of Arsenal's academy and has already made just under 120 senior appearances for the club. He's one of England's most promising young talents.
Liverpool have previously been linked with Saka, who is under contract until 2024. Although, they've been warned it will be difficult to prise the youngster from his boyhood club.
