NEW DELHI: Sameer, Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu, and Mahesh Anandakumar of India won silver in the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol team event at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Junior Championship in Changwon, Korea, on Friday.
On the sixth day of contests, the Indians finished with 1730 points, trailing China's 1747, which equaled the current junior world record in the sport.
Mahesh also advanced to the finals of the individual 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event, finishing sixth overall.
He fired a good 290 in the second rapid-fire round earlier in the day to finish fifth in the individual men's tournament with a total of 578 over two days of qualifying.
Sameer, who was in a solid position at the end of day five, finished seventh with a round of 288 for a total of 576.
Rajkanwar finished qualification eighth overall with 576 points.
China also won gold in the individual event.
