An hours-long Israeli war cabinet meeting concluded on Sunday night without a decision on how Israel will respond to Iran's missile and drone attack. The cabinet is determined to respond but has yet to decide on the timing and scope. The military has been tasked with coming up with additional response options.

According to a senior Biden administration official, Israel has informed the United States that it is not looking to significantly escalate the situation with Iran.

Iran privately messaged the United States that its retaliation against Israel had concluded, echoing its public statement. However, President Ebrahim Raisi warned of a heavier response to any new aggression against Iran's interests.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has called for a de-escalation of violence and a ceasefire in the Israel-Gaza conflict, emphasizing the shared responsibility to prevent further escalation.

The G7 nations have pledged to work together to stabilize the situation in the Middle East in response to Iran's attack. Jordan summoned Iran's ambassador after intercepting Iranian drones over its territory.

In Gaza, thousands of Palestinians were turned away from returning to their homes, and a 5-year-old girl was reportedly shot in the head by Israeli soldiers. Israel has decided to lift restrictions on large gatherings and reopen schools.

The US Department of Homeland Security has not identified any specific or credible threats to the US following Iran's attack on Israel.
