Israeli Troops Kill Two Hamas Members In West Bank Raid

Hostages held by Palestinian Hamas militants give a statement

Israeli troops conducted a raid on the city of Tubas in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the deaths of two Hamas members, Muhammad Essam Shahmawi and Muhammad Omar Daraghmeh. The IDF reported that Daraghmeh was a key figure in the region and had been involved in planning significant terror attacks against Israel. Weapons were found in his vehicle and confiscated by Israeli forces.

During the operation, at least three other individuals were injured by live bullet rounds, with one person in critical condition, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. The PRCS also stated that Israeli gunfire targeted one of their ambulances, leading to a volunteer paramedic being beaten and arrested.

Video footage of the incursion showed a plume of smoke from an explosion and the sound of gunfire in the area. Additionally, footage captured a large crowd participating in a funeral procession for Daraghmeh, with mourners carrying his casket draped in a Palestinian flag.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah, Israeli forces and settlers have been responsible for the deaths of at least 462 Palestinians and the injury of around 4,700 individuals in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
