Among the casualties was Mohammed Zubeidi, whose father, Zakaria Zubeidi, gained notoriety as a militant commander during the second Palestinian uprising in the early 2000s. Zakaria Zubeidi was also involved in a high-profile jailbreak in 2021 but was subsequently apprehended and returned to prison shortly after.
