Recent Israeli strikes in southern Beirut have resulted in the deaths of several senior Hezbollah operatives, according to the Israeli military. The strike on Tuesday targeted Hezbollah's missile and rocket force chief, Ibrahim Qubaisi, along with his deputy, Abbas Ibrahim Sharaf Ad-Din, and another senior operative from the missile unit, Hussein Hany.
Hezbollah confirmed the death of Qubaisi in an airstrike following the initial announcement by the Israeli military. Additionally, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that another senior Hezbollah operative, Fuad Shafiq Khaz'al Khanafer, from the group's surface-to-surface missile unit was killed in a separate strike.
Israel has claimed responsibility for targeting several senior Hezbollah figures in recent days during strikes on Lebanon. On Thursday, the IDF stated that it conducted 'precise strikes' in Beirut that resulted in the death of Hezbollah's aerial command chief, Muhammad Hussein Srour.
Hezbollah has confirmed Srour's death but did not provide specific details on the circumstances surrounding it. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues to escalate, with both sides engaging in targeted strikes that have claimed the lives of key operatives from the militant group.
