Israeli Strike Kills At Least Ten In Southern Lebanon

Flame and smoke rise over Lebanon as seen from Israel's border with Lebanon, in northern Israel

An Israeli strike in Nabatiyeh, southern Lebanon, has resulted in the deaths of at least ten people, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The strike targeted a Hezbollah weapons storage facility, causing casualties among Syrian nationals, including a woman and her two children. Five individuals were wounded, with two in critical condition, including Syrians, a Sudanese, and a Lebanese.

Hezbollah retaliated by launching rockets at Israel, resulting in no reported injuries. The ongoing conflict has escalated tensions between Lebanon and Israel, with daily cross-border exchanges of fire. The situation worsened when an Israeli strike in Beirut killed a top Hezbollah military commander, leading to speculation of further retaliatory attacks.

In Gaza, an Israeli strike killed 15 people from the same family, including nine children. The Israeli military is reviewing reports of civilian casualties. Fighting in Gaza has left much of the territory in ruins, displacing the population and prompting new evacuation orders.
