The Israeli Prime Minister’s office has confirmed that a deal has been reached with Hamas to release the hostages held in Gaza. This development comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refrained from commenting until all details were finalized.
The agreement, which was announced by mediators Qatar, the United States, and Egypt on Wednesday, aims to bring about a temporary cessation of hostilities in Gaza and facilitate the gradual release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners.
Following the announcement, Netanyahu has instructed Israel’s security cabinet to convene on Friday to discuss the terms of the deal. Subsequently, the government will meet to formally approve the agreement.
In a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office, it was emphasized that “The State of Israel is committed to achieving all the goals of the war, including the safe return of all our hostages – both those who are alive and those who have lost their lives.”
