Herzog commended the Israeli air force for its precision and effectiveness in strikes carried out in southern Lebanon, emphasizing the country's determination to combat terrorism. He reiterated the importance of bringing back hostages and displaced individuals to their families and homes in the north and south of Israel.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a warning to residents of northern towns to heighten security measures amid escalating tensions with Hezbollah. The IDF urged residents of Safed and surrounding areas to restrict movement, avoid gatherings, and seek shelter in protected spaces.
The IDF's cautionary statement comes as fears mount over potential cross-border attacks between Israel and Hezbollah. The situation remains tense, with both sides preparing for any potential escalation in hostilities.
