He underscored Israel's right to basic freedoms enjoyed by all nations, including the safety and well-being of its citizens.

Herzog commended the Israeli air force for its precision and effectiveness in strikes carried out in southern Lebanon, emphasizing the country's determination to combat terrorism. He reiterated the importance of bringing back hostages and displaced individuals to their families and homes in the north and south of Israel.
