Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Foreign Minister Israel Katz were all present at the meetings held on Thursday.
The consultations are occurring amidst Israeli military strikes on targets along Israel’s northern border into Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces announced on Thursday that top commander Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi has given approval for plans concerning the northern arena.
Defense Minister Gallant issued a warning on Wednesday, stating that a “new era” of war is commencing. The situation remains tense as security officials strategize and assess the ongoing developments in the region.
