Israel’s military issued a warning to residents of southern Lebanon, advising them against traveling south due to a recent cross-border incursion by Israeli troops targeting Hezbollah. The Israeli military's Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, stated that Hezbollah militants were using civilians as human shields to carry out attacks amidst the ongoing conflict in the region.
Adraee emphasized the importance of personal safety and urged individuals not to travel by vehicle from the northern area to the region south of the Litani River until further notice. However, many residents found themselves trapped in their homes following the Israeli ground incursion. A woman residing in one of Lebanon’s southernmost villages expressed fear and distress, highlighting the intense Israeli bombardment that left her and her family in a state of emotional turmoil.
Witnesses reported heavy artillery fire and airstrikes targeting villages in the area on Monday, escalating tensions and causing widespread concern among the local population. The situation remains volatile as both Israeli forces and Hezbollah continue to engage in combat, raising apprehensions about the safety and well-being of civilians caught in the crossfire.
