
The Israeli military confirmed on Wednesday that it targeted two individuals in the southern Gaza Strip who were operating a drone. The drone was observed entering Gaza from Israel, following previous attempts to use drones for smuggling weapons.
Gaza's Health Ministry reported that a 44-year-old man was killed in an Israeli strike near Rafah in southern Gaza on Wednesday. The ministry did not provide further details regarding the incident.






Since the recent ceasefire came into effect, at least 92 Palestinians have been killed and over 800 wounded by Israeli fire, according to the Health Ministry.
Israeli military officials stated that they have fired upon individuals who approach their forces or enter restricted areas in violation of the truce.
Hamas has threatened to delay the scheduled release of hostages on Saturday, accusing Israel of breaching the agreement by firing on individuals and impeding the delivery of essential aid to Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, backed by President Donald Trump, warned of resuming hostilities if the hostages are not released by Saturday. Trump emphasized that failure to release the remaining Israeli hostages would lead to severe consequences.
Gaza Doctor Allegedly Tortured in Israeli Detention
The family of a prominent Gaza physician, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, claimed that he was tortured by Israeli forces during his detention. Abu Safiya was reportedly held in solitary confinement for 24 days and is currently incarcerated at Ofer prison near Jerusalem.
Despite no formal charges against him, his family remains hopeful for his imminent release. The Al Mezan rights group disclosed that Abu Safiya was subjected to severe mistreatment, including being forcibly stripped, shackled, and physically assaulted while in Israeli custody.
Dr. Abu Safiya, the former director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, was detained during an Israeli raid in December. The Israeli military alleged that Hamas militants were utilizing the hospital for military purposes, resulting in the detention of numerous suspects.
Israel has conducted multiple raids on Gaza hospitals during the ongoing conflict, accusing Hamas and other militant groups of exploiting medical facilities for military activities, a claim refuted by hospital officials.
