Hamas has stated that it is expecting Israel to release approximately 200 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday. This group is said to include 120 individuals serving life sentences and 80 others with significant terms of imprisonment. The release is part of a larger ceasefire and hostage release agreement between the two parties.
