The Israeli military is gearing up for further action against Hezbollah, with Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi stating that they are prepared for the next steps in the conflict. Halevi emphasized that the IDF is meticulously planning its strategy for the coming days.
Halevi issued a warning to Hezbollah, stating that the group will face additional consequences until Israeli citizens who fled the violence in the region are able to return to their homes in the north. The recent attack on Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, resulting in the deaths of several militants including high-ranking leaders, was highlighted as a message to any entity threatening Israeli citizens in the Middle East.
On Friday, an Israeli airstrike targeted a nine-story apartment building in a southern Beirut suburb, resulting in a significant loss of life. The strike claimed the lives of at least 45 individuals, including 16 Hezbollah militants, among them the Radwan Force leader Ibrahim Aqil and senior commander Ahmad Wehbe.
