On Saturday, the Israeli military announced the easing of safety and security restrictions for residents in parts of northern Israel. This decision came after Israel's recent attack on Iran and was implemented at 8 p.m. local time following a situational assessment.
In areas such as Upper Galilee, the Golan Heights, and Haifa Bay, the activity level has transitioned from 'limited to partial,' allowing for the reopening of some schools. Additionally, in certain parts of the Galilee region, activities have been further relaxed from 'partial to full,' although gatherings are limited to a maximum of 2,000 people as per the Israeli military's statement.
It is important to note that tens of thousands of residents in northern Israel have been displaced due to cross-border fire from Hezbollah in Lebanon. While some individuals in the northern regions remain at home, they continue to live under restrictions. One of Israel's objectives in this conflict is to facilitate the return of displaced residents to their communities in the north.
Conversely, across the border in Lebanon, officials report that over 1 million people have been displaced and tragically, more than 2,500 individuals have lost their lives as a result of the intense Israeli bombardment.
