Family members of Israeli hostages held by Hamas are expressing concern for the safety of their loved ones following the Israeli military's announcement of the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

The Hostages Families Forum, representing families of Israeli hostages in Gaza, issued a statement urging authorities to use this development to secure the return of the remaining hostages.

The group praised the Israeli military for eliminating Sinwar, whom they accused of orchestrating significant violence against Israel, including numerous murders and abductions.

Despite this, the group remains deeply worried about the more than 100 hostages still held in Gaza.

Parents of Israeli American hostage Omer Neutra emphasized the critical nature of Sinwar's death in relation to the hostages' safety, stating that their lives are now at greater risk.

Another parent, Einav Zangauker, whose son Matan is among the hostages, echoed these concerns, emphasizing the need for immediate action to protect the remaining captives.

Zangauker called on Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to seize the current momentum and propose a new initiative to ensure the hostages' safe return, even if it means ending the conflict.

She vowed to continue advocating for the release of all hostages until they are safely reunited with their families.
