Israeli Hostages' Families Protest For Government Support

Cubans await promised government intervention as the Peso slides further in Havana

A group representing the relatives of Israeli hostages still held in Gaza staged a protest near the Knesset in Jerusalem on Thursday evening. The families gathered to seek support for the abductees and to urge the government to take action.

Another smaller, right-wing group, distinct from the main Hostages Families group, expressed their desire for the swift return of the abductees. They emphasized that they believe only by dismantling Hamas can the hostages be brought back safely.

The families associated with the main group have publicly voiced their opposition to any ceasefire deal, indicating their firm stance on the matter. Riki Baruch, sister-in-law of one of the hostages, Uriel Baruch, made a plea to the government to exert maximum pressure on Hamas, even suggesting the halt of humanitarian aid as a potential leverage point.

The protest highlighted the ongoing anguish and frustration experienced by the families of the hostages, underscoring the urgency of the situation. The demand for decisive action against Hamas reflects the deep-seated concerns and fears of the families, who are eagerly awaiting the safe return of their loved ones.
