The Israeli government agency responsible for coordinating aid into Gaza, COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories), has reported the successful delivery of food aid through a new crossing in the northern region of Gaza. According to COGAT, a total of 102 food aid trucks entered northern Gaza via the newly established northern crossing. This follows a previous announcement that 316 aid trucks, including 65 food aid trucks, had been inspected and transferred to Gaza, with a significant portion allocated to the northern area.
Earlier this month, the Israeli government approved the temporary opening of the Erez crossing into northern Gaza specifically for the delivery of humanitarian aid.
