Israeli gunfire in Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, resulted in the death of one person and critical injury of another, as reported by the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Health on Monday.
The ministry stated that one individual sustained a critical chest injury 'due to occupation forces' gunfire in Nablus.'
Israeli police, on the other hand, described the incident as the killing of a 'terrorist' during an operation to apprehend a wanted individual in Nablus. The operation, carried out by border police and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), was met with violent disturbances as they attempted to make the arrest.
According to Israeli authorities, a man threw an explosive device at the security forces, prompting them to open fire and resulting in his death. Additionally, another individual who was disrupting the order was shot in the leg after posing a threat to the security forces.
Furthermore, security forces fired at a suspicious vehicle that was approaching them at high speed and failed to respond to their warnings. The driver of the vehicle was injured as a result of the gunfire.
