Israeli forces have been actively engaged in destroying more than 2,000 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including weapons, military buildings, and underground infrastructures. According to the spokesperson for Israel’s military, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, Hezbollah has strategically hidden its military assets underground and within civilian buildings in villages near the border.

As a result of Israel's operations, some Hezbollah operatives have been killed in close-quarters combat, with approximately 440 Hezbollah fighters losing their lives in ground combat or airstrikes, including around 30 commanders of various ranks. Hagari emphasized that Hezbollah's chain of command has been severely impacted, causing distress to the Iranian leadership.

Israel's extensive bombing campaign in Lebanon has led to significant casualties, with over 1,400 people reported dead and more than 1 million displaced, as per the Lebanese health ministry.
