Video obtained by [source] shows the chaotic aftermath of Israeli airstrikes that killed at least five people at Gaza City’s most popular food market on Tuesday.
The footage captures the distressing scene at the Al-Sahaba Market in the densely populated Al-Daraj neighborhood, where two strikes hit a shop and several stalls around 3:30 p.m. (9:30 a.m. ET).
In the video, large crowds of civilians can be seen running through the market, with debris and rubble scattered across blood-spattered streets. Vendors are shown frantically trying to salvage goods from their stalls, while shoppers flee in fear.
A male bystander, captured in the footage, expresses the sudden horror of the situation, stating, “All of a sudden, we realized missiles were falling on top of people. People were in the market; it was a packed market. These people are innocent civilians, they are not Hamas.”
According to medical staff at the Al Ahli Baptist Hospital, at least five individuals lost their lives due to the airstrikes. The hospital is currently treating the injured from the tragic incident.
Another male bystander featured in the video laments the loss and suffering, saying, “These people were looking for something to eat and [to] live, and they were killed and injured.”
