The Israeli military announced on Tuesday that an airstrike in south Beirut, Lebanon, targeted and killed Ibrahim Qubaisi, a senior figure in Hezbollah's missile units, along with two other commanders of the militant group. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that Qubaisi, who led various missile units of Hezbollah, including the precision one, was among those killed in the attack on an apartment building.

Hezbollah, an Iran-backed Lebanese militant group, has not issued any official statements regarding the deaths of its members following the intense air campaign initiated by Israel on Monday. Typically, Hezbollah discloses the deaths of its members, but the group has remained silent since the airstrikes began.

Speaking from Tel Aviv, IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari emphasized that the military's campaign against Hezbollah is intended to be as brief as possible but acknowledged readiness for a prolonged operation if necessary. Hagari also mentioned that a few Israeli soldiers sustained minor injuries in rocket attacks from Lebanon on Tuesday.

The IDF's targeting of key Hezbollah commanders underscores the ongoing tensions in the region and the escalating conflict between Israel and the militant group. The situation remains fluid, with both sides prepared for further hostilities as the conflict unfolds.
