An Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis resulted in the deaths of at least 17 individuals, as reported by Palestinian officials. The strike is part of ongoing military actions, with a total of 97 casualties recorded in the last 24 hours. Distressing footage shared by first responders showed rescuers extracting dead and injured individuals from the debris, including a child with visible injuries.

The European Hospital in the vicinity confirmed receiving 17 bodies following the incident. The Gaza Health Ministry disclosed that the overall death toll in the nearly five-month conflict has reached 30,631, with a significant proportion being women and children. Additionally, over 72,000 individuals have sustained injuries.

Israel initiated its offensive in response to an incursion by Hamas-led militants on October 7, resulting in numerous casualties and abductions. The military's statement indicated targeted operations on militant infrastructure in Khan Younis while emphasizing efforts to evacuate civilians from the area.

Meanwhile, UNICEF reported that at least 10 children in northern Gaza succumbed to dehydration and malnutrition, highlighting the dire humanitarian situation. The breakdown of security has impeded aid efforts, exacerbating the crisis. The UN warns that over 576,000 individuals in Gaza are on the brink of famine, with acute malnutrition affecting a significant number of children.

In a separate incident, five individuals from Thailand were injured by a missile launched from Lebanon, underscoring the regional volatility. The ongoing conflict has led to casualties and disruptions, with migrant workers particularly vulnerable to the escalating tensions between Israel and militant groups.
