Video footage captured families evacuating the neighborhood as the aftermath of the strike left behind significant wreckage. The residential area that was struck is predominantly inhabited by Hezbollah's Shia allies, Amal.
This incident marked the first time since the 2006 conflict that Israel had conducted a strike in the heart of Beirut. The Islamic Health Authority had an office on one floor of the building that was targeted, adding to the impact of the airstrike on the local community.
