According to the spokesperson, Israel views the recent activities on its border with Lebanon as a direct threat and is committed to defending itself. The spokesperson also accused Iranian proxies of attempting to target Israel from various fronts.
Israel retaliated to the alleged attacks by launching strikes in southern Lebanon, resulting in casualties as reported by Lebanese state media. In response, Hezbollah reportedly fired rockets at the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona, causing casualties on the Israeli side as well.
