Israel Defense Forces (IDF) head, Herzi Halevi, has declared that Israel will maintain its relentless strikes on Hezbollah, aiming to prevent the group from regaining strength. Halevi highlighted that Hezbollah has been significantly weakened and is struggling to conceal the extent of the damage it has sustained. The IDF's continuous attacks have reportedly caused command and control issues within Hezbollah, leading to operational challenges.
Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant emphasized that recent Iranian attacks on Israel were aggressive but ultimately unsuccessful, as no military assets were harmed. Gallant asserted that any Israeli retaliation would be powerful, precise, and strategically surprising, catching the enemy off guard.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli military disclosed that over 1,100 airstrikes have been carried out in southern Lebanon since the commencement of ground operations earlier this month. The ongoing military actions underscore Israel's commitment to maintaining pressure on Hezbollah and preventing any potential resurgence of the group's capabilities.
