Israel Urges World Leaders To Prioritize Hostage Release Deal

Hostages are released as part of a deal between Israel and Palestinian Islamist group Hamas

During the United Nations General Assembly meeting this week, Israel's President emphasized the importance of securing the release of remaining hostages as the top priority. President Isaac Herzog stated that Israel did not initiate a conflict with Lebanon but stressed that there are limits to a nation's endurance.

Herzog highlighted that the recent hostilities stemmed from a severe terror attack on October 7, followed by continuous assaults from Hezbollah over the past year. He described the challenging circumstances Israel has faced and expressed a desire to shift the dynamics to create a new outlook for both Israelis and Palestinians.

Herzog's remarks underscore the urgency of addressing the hostage situation and working towards a sustainable solution for all parties involved.
