Israel's military announced that it successfully targeted and killed the head of Hezbollah's communication unit in strikes conducted in southern Beirut on Thursday afternoon local time. The individual identified as Mohammad Rashid Skaafi had been overseeing the group's communications operations since the year 2000, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee.
Following the Israeli strikes in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Hezbollah has not yet released any statements regarding casualties. The Israeli military's offensive on Thursday resulted in the deaths of at least 37 individuals and left 151 others wounded, as reported by the Lebanese health ministry. Additionally, the IDF confirmed that it had targeted Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters in Beirut.
Israel has declared its intention to continue striking Hezbollah targets in various regions, including Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon.
