Israel Reopens Airspace After Intercepting 99% Of Iranian Attacks

National Security Council meeting in Warsaw after unidentified aerial object entered Polish airspace

Israel reopened its airspace at about 9:45 a.m. local time on Sunday, shortly after Iran declared that its attacks on the Jewish state had come to an end. Ben Gurion International Airport has resumed operations, as confirmed by the airport's website. However, some airlines have opted to cancel flights to and from Israel temporarily in light of recent events.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Sunday morning that they successfully intercepted 99% of the over 300 Iranian drones and missiles that were launched towards Israel during the attack that commenced on Saturday night. The IDF, in collaboration with an international defense coalition, managed to thwart the majority of the aerial threats posed by Iran.

Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the IDF Spokesman, hailed the interceptions as a 'very significant strategic achievement.' The successful defense against the barrage of Iranian drones and missiles represents a crucial milestone in safeguarding Israel's airspace and population.
