Israel has released harrowing images showing babies who were apparently murdered by Hamas attackers who stormed their homes.
The pictures appear to show the bloodbath that ensued as gunmen rampaged through the Kfar Aza kibbutz and other residential areas.
They were released by Israel to further expose the brutality of the Hamas fighters as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met survivors and those whose family members and friends had been taken hostage by the killers.
One image shows the small body of a baby lying on a now bloodied white body bag that is too large for it.
The little child’s baby grow dotted with flowers is covered in blood showing the savagery of the attack which claimed her life.
Another two photographs released by Israel show the blackened and charred bodies of two babies who were apparently killed in their homes in southern Israel.
The Kfar Aza kibbutz was one of the first Israeli settlements to be targeted on Saturday morning by Hamas.
A rescue team who visited the kibbutz, where the smell of rotting bodies still hangs in the air, told how they saw a pregnant woman lying dead on the floor of the first house they walked into.
It had earlier been reported that the terrorists massacred entire families including babies at Kfar Aza.
Mr Blinken said he had seen images of children “riddled with bullets” and young people who had been burned by Hamas attackers.
He told a press conference: “Images are worth a thousand words - these are worth a million.” He likened the brutality to that of ISIS.
He said the images he had seen represented “depravity in the most unimaginable way”.
The death the death toll in Israel is estimated at over 1,200. Officials in Gaza say 1,400 have been killed as a result of Israeli air raids and military action following the Hamas attack.
Israel is refusing any supplies to Gaza until Hamas releases more than 100 hostages taken by its fighters during the raid.
