A total of 276 aid trucks carrying humanitarian supplies underwent inspection and were admitted into Gaza on Friday, as reported by the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the Israeli military body overseeing Israeli policy in Gaza and the West Bank.

Alongside ground transportation, 144 pallets containing tens of thousands of aid packages were airdropped into northern Gaza on the same day, according to COGAT.

Furthermore, COGAT highlighted the increased activity on new routes, with 20 trucks passing through the Jordanian Route and eight trucks of flour arriving via the port of Ashdod in Israel.

The COGAT statement also mentioned the coordination of nine trucks of medical aid to the Emirati Hospital and another nine trucks of medical aid to the ICRC Hospital.

Last week, Israel announced its initiative to enhance humanitarian aid to Gaza in response to pressure from the United States.

Despite these efforts, humanitarian officials expressed concerns over the slow progress and emphasized the need for further action, particularly as warnings of famine in the Palestinian enclave grew.
