In recent weeks, Germany, which is home to Europe’s third largest Jewish community, is seeing an uptick in anti-Semitic attacks, with some Pro-Palestinian rallies turning violent. Since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, German authorities and Chancellor Olaf Scholz have underlined that anti-Semitism “has no place in Germany”. For a country responsible for the Holocaust, Israel’s security is state policy. But German Jews are increasingly worried for their safety.
