With the death toll soaring in Gaza, the international community urging Israel to show restraint, and Israelis and Jews still reeling from the October 7 Hamas attacks, Hannah Weisfeld is firm in her belief that a two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians is the only viable route to peace. She is the founder of Yachad, a British Jewish organisation working to empower British Jews to support a political resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Weisfeld is also a passionate advocate of the importance of nuance in the debate generated by the conflict, arguing that binary dichotomies that split people into either pro-Hamas or pro-Netanyahu camps do little to foster the compassionate dialogue needed to work towards peace. She joined us for Perspective.
