On Saturday morning, Israel detected five additional projectiles fired from Lebanon, triggering sirens across a significant portion of the north, as reported by the Israeli military.
The Israel Defense Forces released a statement confirming the incident, stating, 'Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in a number of areas in northern Israel and the areas of Wadi Ara, Samaria, and Menashe, five projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanese territory.' The statement also mentioned that most of the projectiles had been intercepted successfully.
Sirens were activated in over 100 communities, according to data from the military's Home Front Command warning application.
This recent attack came after an earlier barrage of 10 projectiles that were detected originating from the Lebanese side of the border. Hezbollah, a militant group based in Lebanon, claimed responsibility for firing rockets towards northern Israel in retaliation for Israeli attacks on Lebanese cities and villages.
