Israel has delayed a cabinet vote on the Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal, citing Hamas for not fully adhering to the agreement. The Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated that Hamas had reneged on certain aspects of the deal in an attempt to secure additional concessions. Consequently, the Israeli cabinet postponed its meeting until mediators confirm Hamas' full acceptance of the agreement.

In response, Izzat al-Rishq, a member of Hamas' political bureau, affirmed the group's commitment to the ceasefire agreement as announced by the mediators. The anticipated cabinet meeting, scheduled for Thursday, aimed to finalize the ceasefire and hostage release deal that had been brokered between Hamas and Israel the day before.
