Ismaila Soro Celtic transfer exit 'on the cards' with Partizan keen on loan deal

Ismaila Soro could be set for the Celtic exit door this summer with the Ivorian lined up for a loan move away from Parkhead, according to a report.

The 24-year-old - signed by Neil Lennon in 2020 from Bnei Yehuda - has failed to establish himself as a first team regular under Ange Posteocoglou and it is believed a temporary switch away from Glasgow with Partizan is now on the cards report Football Scotland. The Serbian giants finished second in their domestic league behind Red Star Belgrade last season.

The Aussie boss is in the market for reinforcements this summer, particularly in the midfield area, following the departures of Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton but Soro is not in his plans. Vinicius Souza is one name being mentioned as a potential incoming for that area of the pitch while Alfa Semedo is reportedly set to join on loan with an obligation to buy for €2.5m Euro with a further £1m in add-ons say Portuguese media.

Soro made 19 appearances in all competitions last season as Celtic recaptured the Premiership title from Rangers and lifted the Premier Sports Cup. His game-time was limited however with most of those minutes coming from the bench.

He is contracted until the summer of 2024 but it is claimed he is likely to have played his last game at for the Parkhead club, although at this stage it is not yet known whether a loan deal to Partizan would include an option to make the deal permanent.

Postecoglou is gearing up to defend his Premiership crown and a crack at the Champions League proper next season.

Celtic will be mixing it with Europe's big boys after their title success last term.

Cameron Carter-Vickers has already turned his loan from last year into a permanent long-term stay after a deal was agreed with Tottenham.

Benjamin Siegrist has put pen to paper on a four-year deal following the expiry of his contract at Dundee United while deals for the likes of Jota and Alexandro Bernabei are edging closer.

Jota impressed on loan from Benfica last season and the Celtic faithful are desperate to see him tied down to the club full-time like fellow loanee Carter-Vickers.
